When a task is modified in the Project and the send notifications to task owner is unchecked, no e-mails.
If it is checked, the owners (assignees) get new task notification and can accept. If the owner updates their personal task, it updates the Project task. If someone updates the Project task, the Owners(assignees) get a notification of a change, which they can accept (their personal task is updated to reflect the change) or decline( the Project task is overwritten with the information in their personal task).
When a task is modified in the personal task list, i.e. start/end dates and the status, these changes are reflected in the project tasks.
